Over July and August, we’re coaching 5 teams of frontline practitioners and policy folk to name a gap between their values and their every day practices. Together, we’ll prototype ways to close the gap.
For example, one of the social workers we’re coaching helps street-involved adults save money. She values self-control and independence, and yet, is often having to say ‘no’ to clients who want access to their money. What do these adults’ value? What outcome is most important to them? What is the social worker to do? How can her practice align with her own values, and the values of the people she supports?
We kicked off coaching with a two-day boot camp. Now, each team is receiving three hours of design support each week from our team in their own workplaces.
